Become a Volunteer
Donate Life Ambassadors assist us by communicating the life-saving benefits of organ and tissue donation. We can reach so many more potential donors with additional Donate Life Ambassadors working in our 14-county service area. Specific training is provided for each Ambassador group. Ongoing updates are provided to ensure that Ambassadors are knowledgeable and comfortable with their role as Donate Life Ambassador.

Donate Life Groups
In the Spring of 2011, NJ Sharing Network launched “Act Local: Save Lives!”, a campaign designed to take action and educate communities about organ and tissue donation on a local level. As of June 30, 2012, more than 42% of U.S. drivers are registered organ donors nationwide. New Jersey ranks 44 out of 50 states at approximately 32%. Close to 5,000 New Jersey residents are currently awaiting a life-saving transplant, and as the waiting list increases by the hour, the need to register donors is more urgent than ever.
Donate Life Regional Groups are taskforces created throughout the state, gathering key representatives from local regions to develop and implement a strategy to reach the nationwide goal of 50% registered organ and tissue donors. We are partnering with local businesses, government agencies, houses of worship, high schools, colleges, police/fire/EMS departments, hospitals, and other organizations with the enthusiasm to save lives.
