ABOUT US

Our Partners

We partner with hundreds of organizations  throughout New Jersey and the U.S. to serve donor families, patients waiting, and transplant recipients. Together, we can save more lives.

Organ Transplant Centers

In addition to over 50 hospital partnerships throughout New Jersey, we work closely with the six organ transplant centers in our service area to ensure that the gift of donation is available to the communities we serve.

NJ Motor Vehicle Commission

Thanks to our partnership with the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC), the number of registered organ and tissue donors in the state is steadily on the rise. All New Jersey Motor Vehicle Agencies (MVA) provide customers with educational materials about organ and tissue donation.

NJ Sharing Network also educates MVC management and staff about why it’s so important to ask customers, “Would you like to register as an organ donor?”

Our volunteers have the opportunity to meet staff at their local agency, update us on supply needs and educate MVC customers about the importance of saying “yes” to donation while at the agency.

Funeral Homes

At NJ Sharing Network, we work closely with funeral home directors to assure that the wish to make an organ and tissue donation can be fulfilled, while providing a meaningful funeral.

For more information, please contact Wendy Rothschild, MPA, Funeral Home and Medical Examiner Liaison, at (800) 742-7365 or (908) 516-5400.

National Organizations

United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS)
A private, non-profit organization based in Richmond, Va., that runs the Organ Procurement and Transplant Network, the nation's organ transplant waiting list and organ allocation system; all organ transplant programs and organ procurement organizations in the US must be members of UNOS.
