Laboratory Services
For over 35 years, NJ Sharing Network’s Transplant Laboratory has been providing high-quality histocompatibility testing services designed to facilitate the most complex transplants safely and without delay. In collaboration with our local transplant programs the laboratory supports approximately 2,500 NJ residents waiting for a lifesaving organ transplant, as well as organ donor testing for organ and tissue transplants nationally.
Operational 24-hours a day, 365 days a year, our laboratory is licensed by the New Jersey Department of Health and Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) and is accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP) and the American Society for Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (ASHI).

Lab Kits for Dialysis Patients
For individuals active on the kidney waitlist, NJ Sharing Network understands that managing your health journey can often feel daunting. To streamline this process, our Laboratory offers quarterly collection kits. Directions for use are as follows:
- You will receive three blood kit boxes every 90 days by mail.
- Bring one kit for blood collection visit each month.
- Staff will label your blood tube using the kit barcode label.
- You will confirm your info by initialing the tube and
- Packaging: Place the blood tube inside the biohazard bag. Then, place the sealed biohazard bag and the completed Monthly Antibody Form together into the FedEx Clinical Pak (provided in each kit) for shipment by the dialysis center to the NJ Sharing Network Laboratory
