Become a High School Volunteer

With the enactment of the Hero Act in 2008, each public high school in New Jersey is required to ensure that information about organ and tissue donation is included in the Core Curriculum Content Standards for Comprehensive Health and Physical Education for grades 9-12.

NJ Sharing Network and our dedicated volunteers spoke to nearly 50,000 high school, college and nursing students in the 2018-19 academic year. To reach more students this year and beyond, WE NEED YOUR HELP!

This comprehensive High School Speaker Training will be the first step for you to speak to students about organ and tissue donation, and how they can make a difference! After the training, you will be paired with and shadow an experienced High School speaker.

*Please note: if you have not completed a background check as part of your Volunteer Certification, one will be required prior to visiting a school.
