NJ Sharing Network To Host First-Annual Volunteer Conference on April 6
Volunteers are urged to mark their calendars for Saturday, April 6 for a full day of important updates about organ and tissue donation and to thank those who help NJ Sharing Network fulfill its life-saving mission.
The first-annual Volunteer Conference begins at 9:15 a.m. with coffee and check-in at NJ Sharing Network headquarters, with conference sessions beginning promptly at 10 a.m. The afternoon culminates with a Volunteer Appreciation Celebration.
Active volunteers are asked to attend refresher training each year to stay abreast of new information. This day-long conference is a great opportunity for a refresher.
Participants can select topics of interest, including laws governing organ donation, clinical aspects of organ donation and transplantation, up-to-date facts and figures, speaker training and much more.
Joe Roth, president & CEO of NJ Sharing Network, will present the organization's vision. There will also be a general session on laws governing organ donation.
Among the many sessions will be one focused on the annual 5K Walk/Race with advice for team captains about how to use email, social media, and the web to drive team contributions and participation.
RSVP to Amanda Abramo at aabramo@sharenj.org to attend the conference or for more information.
