Donor Family Services
NJ Sharing Network honors every family who makes the decision to donate at the time of their loved one’s death. In their time of sorrow, these families opened their hearts to give the gift of life to another family. While we cannot take away the pain of the loss, we hope to provide services that will promote healing during the difficult grief journey.

A transplant recipient's guide for writing to your donor family
Writing Your Letter
Through organ donation, you have received the greatest gift of all, The Gift of Life. Many transplant recipients would like to express their gratitude to the family of their donor but they don’t know how to go about it. At the same time, many donor families have said a card or a personal note from the recipient offers real comfort and is cherished by them. I would like to encourage you to take a few moments to send a letter or note to the family of your donor. Hearing directly from the recipients who have benefited from their decision to donate has been extremely valuable to our donor families.
